Netball World Cup checks in at Witbank High
eMalahleni had the opportunity to share in the Netball World Cup excitement.
Final preparations are ramping up, along with excitement levels ahead of the best 16 nations in the world converging on the Mother City for 10 days of captivating netball action.
The Vitality Netball World Cup 2023 will take place from July 28 to August 6 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
The upcoming event was celebrated as the trophy toured the country and also stopped in eMalahleni at Witbank High School on Wednesday, June 7.

Netball South Africa president Cecilia Molokwane urged young girls to focus on their future sport as a step in the right direction.
“Don’t get pregnant and have babies, you are worth much more. Take a stand and be someone who stands out,” Molokwane advised.
The Executive Mayor of Emalahleni, Clr Conny Nkalitshana who also played netball in her day, echoed the words of Molokwane.
“Stand up, take your rightful positions in life,” Nkalitshana said.
The MEC for Culture, Sport and Recreation, Ms Thandi Shongwe in her address said she is proud to welcome the trophy in Mpumalanga.
