Battle of the yards coming up at Nkangala Youth Day Invitational Equestrian Show
Stop horsing around and get ready for the Equestrian show on Youth Day.
Horse-riding enthusiasts, here is an exciting event coming up for you.
The inaugural Nkangala Youth Day Invitational Show will be held on June 16.
This is also the Mpumalanga leg of the South African Show Jumping challenge.
This show is affiliated with the South African Equestrian Federation (SAEF) and aims to attract more than 200 riders throughout the weekend.
It is hosted by the Nkangala Equestrian Club and will be held at Pienaar Dam Resort from July 16 to July 18.
The highlight of the weekend will be the Battle of the Yards and the winning yard will earn themselves R5 000.
A team challenge event is also ‘in the stables’ and there is R10 000 up for grabs.
A team must be made up of three riders and two grooms to participate.
For the rest of the weekend, spectators and competitors can look forward to fun games, a Father’s Day braai, mechanical bull rides, grooms soccer, a fancy dress parade, and yummy food stalls.
