New transformer arrives at KwaGuqa New Substation after a four-day protest against power outage

A new transformer has safely arrived at KwaGuqa New Substation after a four-day protest by residents against power outages in the area.

The protest began on Monday, May 8, with residents blocking roads and demanding that the local authorities take action to address the frequent power cuts that have been affecting the community.

The protest was finally resolved on Monday, May 15, when the Executive Mayor of Emalahleni Local Municipality, Clr Conny Nkalitshana, kept her promise to deliver the transformer.

The transformer was delivered to the site, and the preparations for installation are underway.
