Nite race at Ben Fleur a running success

It was all about running and sportsmanship at this year’s note race at Ben Fleur Nite Boulevard.

The annual Spur Nite Race was once again a success.

On March 15, runners gathered in huge numbers at the Ben Fleur Boulevard Shopping Centre.

Schools and runners alike took part in the 10km run and the 4.9km fun run.

Sebas Rothmann, Moné Erasmus, René Venter, Roané Fourie, Mandisa Masilela and Rasto Botma.

Local Community Policing Forum (CPF) was also in attendance and provided marshalls for the event. “This event is for the community; somewhere they can run safely. It is also for the schools where kids can attend and for clubs. This race has been held for the last nine years. The race is also a way for us to see who can join the SA running team later this year. The route we have used this year is brand new and we hope that the runners will enjoy it,” said organiser Paul Bester.

Ruduan Roux and Lehan Roux.

Unice Nslabo also came first for the 40-plus division.

Jay-Dee Combrink.

Other results for the men’s division have not been released due to an official error during the race.
