First recycling donation for this year in Ward 20

Recycling should be a part of our daily lives, by recycling you are preventing these materials from finding their way to pollute the environment

The Democratic Alliance Ward 20 Councillor, Maureen Scheepers joined by Councillor Moosa Bhamjee and the former ward councillor Roy Cronje joined forces in a recycling project.

On January 17 the first recycling donation for this year towards the Highveld Association for the Physically Disabled Home situated in Jackaroo Park was made.

“Recycling should be a part of our daily lives, by recycling you are preventing these materials from finding their way to pollute the environment,” Scheepers explained

The councillor urges more residents from the ward to get involved in this initiative this year.

“I would like to challenge the residents of Ward 20 and eMalahleni alike to start gathering all recyclable items in their areas and to donate them to this Home, by doing that you clean the area and you support and assist this home to continue doing the great work that is taking place there,” said Scheepers.

Anyone that would like to get involved in donating recycled items towards this home can contact Scheepers at 082 565 6770 for more information.
