Multiple home robberies reported in Phola

Residents staying around the area should brace themselves as robbers will not be taking a break from breaking into resident's property.

Community members residing in Phola should brace themselves this festive season because home burglaries are reported in the area.

In the first case that was reported, it is alleged a male victim was travelling to Pretoria for the weekend.

It is believed that when the victim left his home, everything was in order, and all doors and windows were properly closed.

The following day on December 17, the victim alleges to have received a phone call from his neighbour at around 05:25.

The victim arrived at his home at around 06:30, and upon arrival, he discovered the buttler window had been cut off.

It alleged that two plasma TVs, jewellery boxes, duvets, a sound system, and curtains were stolen.

The next robbery was reported in Ogies by a woman who alleged to have been at home watching TV before she made her way to bed.

She alleged that when she woke up on Saturday, December 17 at approximately 05:30 she noticed that her TV was stolen.

The victim alleged that she walked around the house to check and discovered the window was forced open to gain entrance.

Residents staying around the area should brace themselves as robbers will not be taking a break from breaking into residents’ property and stealing their hard-earned valuables.

The third house robbery took place at approximately a similar place and time.

A man alleged that he was at his place of residence also preparing to sleep, but before then he ensured all doors are locked.

When he woke up at around 05:30 the couch was missing.

It is believed that the robbers made their way inside the victim’s house through the window that was tempered with a wire that was cut and forced to open.

In Tasbet Sector, Phola a man also fell victim to a break-in.

The victim claimed on Wednesday, December 14 at around 06:55, he received a call from his employee who alerted him that there had been a break-in and the doors are broken.

Upon arrival, the victims confirmed that forceful entry was gained.

It is also believed that the container stationed inside the premises was broken, and tools of electric trade, stationery, and extensions were reported to be stolen.
