Motorists driving on the N12 are advised to proceed with caution, following a fatal accident.

A burst front tyre allegedly caused the driver of a bakkie to lose control resulting in the vehicle rolling several times.

The accident this morning on the N12 claimed the life of one person who died on the scene.

Another person was seriously injured and rushed to hospital.

The driver was transporting livestock on a trailer behind the bakkie.

Motorists using the N12 are warned to proceed with caution as clean-up operations are still in progress.
