She indicated that 98 learners at the school are undocumented, meaning that the school must see to it that they get fed, and have a teacher and books as well as uniforms because the department of education does not cater to them.

“As a mother, I need to make it a point that I visit the mines and the private sector seeking donations; these donations came as a blessing. I cannot allow children to stay at home and not go to school because of the mistakes of their parents. The children have a right to education and they must not be denied that opportunity. Since I was appointed the school principal in 2019 with my team, Thuthukani for Life, we will make sure that the school rise above the rest and be a school of choice. This is one of the oldest schools in the area and it will be the top school in the future,” said the principal.

The school received school uniforms, stationery, school shoes, and dignity packs.
