Let’s talk about drugs and dangerous weapons in schools
Ndunza Sogutjhe Royal house took hands with Phola SAPS to create awareness about pressing issues.
Learners from Mehlwana High School will be benefiting from a recent awareness campaign.
This campaign was conducted by Phola SAPS in conjunction with Sogutjhe Royal House.
The campaign was hosted at the school on Monday, August 29 and it addressed Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and fighting and carrying of dangerous weapons at school.
The campaign was presented by Sergeant Petros Ntuli (Phola SAPS communication officer) and Seargeant Nonhlanhla Monama (Crime Information Management and Analysis Centre) along with the Community Policing Forum (CPF) led by Mr Mlungisi Nkonde (chairperson) and Mr Jabulani Shabangu (deputy chairperson) and Phola SAPS Youth Desk structure represented by Miss Charmaine Mzimba and Miss Angel Mkhabela.
The event was a huge success. As a result, the principal Mr Moses Thenjekwayo, the school safety committee, and learners warmly welcomed the visit and expressed their sincere gratitude to the SAPS and Ndunza Sogutjhe.
