Face of Devotion Mzansi holds finalist sash ceremony in eMalahleni
eMalahleni played host to Face of Devotion Mzansi.
The Face of Devotion Mzansi is a continental pageant whereby winners of participating African countries contest to bring together African countries.
Face of Devotion provinces is in each participating country, and they compete to crown the best representative to represent the country on Face of Devotion Mzansi. There are contestant models from each province in South Africa.
Each contestant ventures on a one-year journey where they are taught the importance of having a better tomorrow.
During this time, they are also observed and taught how to be good leaders.
They receive tasks to fulfil from January to gain points.
The pageant believes a model must be someone who leads by example and represents the participating country well. It must be someone who inspires other people.
On August 13, Face of Devotion Mzansi held a finalist sash ceremony in eMalahleni.
During the ceremony, sashes were issued to contestants who qualified as finalists for the big finale in December, where they will compete for the national title.
The atmosphere was one of great excitement, but also nervousness for the journey leading to the finale.
Ambassador for Face of Devotion Mzansi and 2021 finale winner, Rebaone Phithi, said that “As an ambassador, I am really proud and honoured to be here at the ceremony and part of the show during a busy schedule. Now the real work begins for the contestants as they compete for the national title against contestants of all the other provinces.”
The ceremony ended with a celebration for the contestants who received their finalist sashes.
