House goes up in flames in Clearwater Estate

Fire does not stand a chance against eMalahleni community members.

Good Samaritans beat fire in Clearwater Estate on Sunday evening when a house took flame.

Rebecca Skobela, an employee at Emalahleni Local Municipality’s call centre for Disaster Management and resident of the estate, said that her daughter noticed the fire and informed of it.

She then took the initiative to contact the Emalahleni Fire Station.

Johan Bekker from the South African Community Crime Watch was on the scene together with other brave volunteers to assist in extinguishing the fire.

eMalahleni has once again shown that despite tragedy, we are a community with good Samaritans who take initiative and volunteer to help.
