Affected water supply in eMalahleni today

The Emalahleni Local Municipality has indicated that several areas may experience low water pressure or no water supply due to reservoir levels

According to the spokesperson of Emalahleni Local Municipality, Mr Lebo Mofokeng, several areas may be experiencing low water pressure to no water supply due to the current reservoir levels today, July 14.

Please take note of the reservoir levels capacity below:

Reservoirs level capacity 

Point A high = no reading 

Point A 20ml = no reading 

Point A 11.4ml = +/-10%

Point B high = no reading 

Point B 20ml = 30%

Point B-C = 20%

Point C high = no reading 

Point C low = 20%

Point D = +/-20%

 

The water supply to the following areas supplied from Point A ground reservoir is affected: 

– Portion of Witbank Ext 10

– Marelden extensions 

– Portion of Blancheville 

– Klarinet extensions 

– Pine Ridge 

– Paxton Correctional Services 

 

The water supply to the following areas supplied from Point B ground reservoir is affected:

– Clewer 

– KwaGuqa new extensions especially areas supplied from the elevated tank – KwaGuqa Ext 2 (zone 14), Ext 7,10,11,18

– Empumelelweni extensions 

– The water supply to the following areas is supplied from Point B tower reservoir is affected: 

– Witbank CBD 

– Witbank Ext 1-12

– Del Judor Ext 1

– Del Judor Proper 

– Portion of Die Heuwel Proper 

– Die Heuwel Ext 8

 

The water supply to the following areas supplied from Point C ground reservoir is affected: 

– Tasbet Park Ext 1 & 12

– Dixon holdings

– Southview extensions 

– Bankenveld extensions 

 

Communities are urged to use water sparingly during this period to allow the system to stabilise.
