Speed bumps cause a lot of havoc on Gordon Road

New speed bumps on Gordon Road lead to a lot of frustration

Motorists are furious after new speed bumps suddenly made an appearance in Gordon Road ‘overnight’.

They are not fuming because of the speed bumps; they are upset because some suffered damage to their vehicles as the new additions are a little higher.

“Are these speed bumps up to specifications?” Mr John Cornish asked.

He added that although the speed bumps ‘brag’ with a new coat of paint, they will soon wear off and there are no signage warning drivers about the new speed bumps.

Contractors removed a speed bump just a day after putting it in front of Laerskool Panorama, because that was not even a meter away from the existing speed bump.

“Who does the planning and who oversees the work?” Cornish asked.

WITBANK NEWS reached out to the local municipality, but no comment was received yet.
