Democratic Alliance celebrates Youth Day in Pine Ridge, eMalahleni
The Democratic Alliance made Youth Day special.
On Youth Day, members of the Democratic Alliance Caucus decided to bring some cheer to some of the most marginalized members of our community, the 49 children at the Madressa Orphanage in Pine Ridge.
The councillors prepared an abundance of ‘wors’ rolls for the children and staff of the orphanage. This was followed by cake, cupcakes and cold drinks. In addition, food parcels were donated to the home.
The children took the opportunity to display their dancing skills and entertained the members with shadow dancing followed by some enthusiastic gumboot dancing.
Members of the DA left the event in the knowledge that these vulnerable children had a fulfilling Youth Day 2022.
