Care West Foundation reaching out to family of Hlalanikahle Phase 2 who needs help

Furniture and groceries donated to a mother of five in Hlalanikahle.

Care West Foundation is all about giving to others.

The foundation in partnership with the Department of Correctional Services, BLG Engineering, Spar Saveways, Cumdla Trading and Debonairs Pizza, open up their hearts and showed love and care to a family in Hlalanikahle Phase 2.

Ms Sonto Mokeona (34) who has five children, the oldest being 13 years, second-born six years, three years and twins who are three months old was helped when she receives furniture and food. She was presented with beds, kitchen units and groceries.

The foundation under Steve ‘West’ Luvuno donated it over two days on Friday, June 17 and on Saturday, June 18.

Some groceries and furniture that was donated to Ms Sonto Mokeona (34) of Hlalanikahle Phase 2 on Friday, June 17 and on Saturday, June 18.

Since the foundation was started, it has reached out to donate, presented food parcels, rebuilt homes, presented school shoes, donated furniture, organised lunches and taken care of children and families and has hosted several events to benefit children.

Recently, Luvuno didn’t want to celebrate his birthday alone but choose to do it with children with disabilities. They were taken for lunch to the Wimpy at Highveld Mall for a celebration. Some of the children who could not make it to the mall were sent their lunch to their respective homes or centres.

He celebrated his birthday with more than 130 children, and they were hosted at the restaurant. A cake fit for a king was cut as well, and the children really enjoyed themselves.
