Coal City Wizards 11th on the Hollywoodbets Super Soccer League log

Coal City Wizards need to pullout their magic wand in this league.

This past weekend saw just five Hollywoodbets Super League  fixtures take place.

On Saturday, Richmond United piled more pressure on City Lads Ladies, with the league newcomers conceding five unanswered goals in a 5-0 defeat.

In the shock result of the weekend, high-flying Bloem Celtic was held to a 0-0 draw at home by lowly Golden Ladies. The draw sees Golden Ladies move off the foot of the table as Celtic missed out on an opportunity to go third.

On Sunday, TUT edged past UJ FC in Tshwane, winning 1-0. The result means that TUT can potentially move into third if they win their game in hand, leapfrogging Ma-Indies Ladies, Bloem Celtic and JVW.

Elsewhere, Thunderbirds Ladies beat Vasco da Gama 6-1 while Ma-Indies ladies ran out 1-0 winners over Durban Ladies out in Limpopo.

After 11 thrilling rounds of action, the Hollywoodbets Super League will take a two-week break before returning on Saturday, June 25.

Upon returning, Durban Ladies will host Golden Ladies down in eThekwini. Bloem Celtic will have another chance to move up the standings when they travel to First Touch, while City Lads Ladies will play host to Ma-Indies Ladies.

On Sunday, 26 June Tsunami Queens will have their work cut out for them when they travel to TUT FC. The curtain comes down on the weekend’s action when Thunderbirds Ladies travel to UJ FC.

Local team, Coal City Wizards are number 11 on the log with ten games played, winning four and losing six and having 12 points. Mamelodi Sundowns still leads with 27 points after playing the same number of games, winning nine and losing only one.
