Ubuntu Performing Arts ready to blow eMalahleni away

Performers have rehearsed their lines, be in sync at the Civic Theatre on May 7.

Why look up in the sky when stars shine bright at the Civic Theatre?

Ubuntu Performing Arts will make heads turn and give it all on their VIP Showtime event.

The group will be hosting the show on Saturday evening, May 7 at the Civic Theatre.

The crew of dancers, singers, and actors said that they are ready to blow people away with their talent which is locally brewed.

The production has been working hand in hand with young people from the community; most of them are school-aged children who dedicate their time after school to rehearse.

Over eight instructors have also put in the work to make sure that the night is one to remember. The instructors voluntarily teach the children techniques and have been working with the children to bring out their talents.

Performances that can be expected on the day include singing, dancing of many genres, drama, and many more artistic acts.

“This is a night that people should not miss out. The young children that were raised in this community will show their talents and grace the stage with their passion. We do this not only to keep them off the streets but to also show them that the art industry is alive and they can invest in it,” said Angie Mellor.

Tickets are available at R50 from Angie on 079 549 5481.
