Priscilla is a multifaceted woman

A local author walks us through her work.

Ms Priscilla Moripe (39) is not only a nascent multi-talented woman; she is also a beautiful lady and a mother of two who lives in Klarinet.

She describes herself as a loving and simple person.

This woman is incredibly gifted and serves as a fashion designer, author, scriptwriter, producer, gospel singer and director as part of her life job.

Priscilla discussed in detail some of her competencies, as well as her film ‘Hidden Identity’ which is based on her book ‘The Pain of Rejection’.

She began by recounting her journey as an author, which eventually led her into the world of film.

Priscilla’s experiences in life opened many doors for her.

She said her journey as an author began after her divorce.

She wrote a book called ‘Pain of Rejection’ which is divided into 12 stories, and her motivation for writing is to inspire everyone around the world to have hope and faith.

Her writing empowered her to be a strong mother and brought her peace.

This aided her in moving on and forgiving others.

“I took most of the things I experienced and make stories from them and use other people’s names to avoid hurting others in my life”.

She said in a statement about the book,

“The book is talking about different rejections that we face every single day.”

She went on to explain why she decided to write the book, stating that some people unconsciously reject others.

“Children are rejected at school because of their appearance, family background or classroom behaviour. Women are rejected and accused by their in-laws, relatives, neighbours and among people. Most men are rejected by their families and friends after losing what they used to have, such as work, and money. This leads them to commit suicide.”

As previously stated, this woman is gifted and multi-talented. In addition to what she does, she is also a singer who has released two gospel songs to date.

“I am too much concerned about our children. I feel like we must give them activities that will keep their minds busy to avoid doing wrong things.”

The project is not only going to keep the youth busy, but it is also going to create jobs; her mission is to pay them for every shoot that will take place.

Priscilla made a movie based on her book in 2021. Thirty-two youths of eMalahleni were cast in the film ‘Hidden Identity.

She worked as a producer, and director with Talent Mucheri, a cinematographer.

She revealed that she also portrayed Zaza in the film, a woman who abuses her husband and destroys the beauty of love and respect from her family.

She went on to say that she wants eMalahleni’s youth and talent to be recognised locally rather than having to travel to Gauteng.

The only way to make this dream come true is to get funds and sponsors for this project to be successful.

Her new project for 2022 is the ‘Pain of Rejection Talk Show’, in which she will allow others to share their own stories to encourage others and allow upcoming artists to showcase their talents.

She concluded by saying that they really need help with funds, sponsors or anything that can help the project to grow and advertise for the movie to be played on television.
