A visit to Joubertsrus Cemetery left a family distraught

A family is angry with the municipality for not keeping Joubertsrus Cemetery tidy.

A visit to Joubertsrus Cemetery left a family distraught this past weekend.

What would have been an annual visit to my dad’s grave, led to the question why we not rather considered cremation and kept my dad’s ashes,” Ms Charlene Steyn asked.

The Steyn family could not even find the grave as the whole of Joubertsrus Cemetery is overgrown.

Even the road leading into the cemetery is overgrown, scratching your car as you try to squeeze between the grass and weeds.

WITBANK NEWS paid a visit to the cemetery and made this short video.

The full story will be in this week’s edition.
