Business finances strained after robbery

The suspects ran away with money, till point, a CCTV screen and cell phones.

Working as a female consultant in a shop has become a threat to many.

This includes two women that found themselves traumatized after a business robbery.

The women were left stranded after the incident that occurred on February 28.

It is alleged that two unknown men walked into a local pharmacy in Phola pretending to be customers.

The men spoke to the pharmacists who had just opened for business on that day.

The men who were holding a plastic bag with a firearm spoke to the employees.

As the ladies were trying to assist them, they took out a firearm and demanded money.

The men allegedly broke the safe using a fire extinguisher that was in the shop.

Thabang Dikatana, owner of the pharmacy said that it will be hard for the business to recover from this incident.

“This incident really affected the business as the suspects took four days’ worth of money. Recovering from this will not be easy. The employees were psychologically affected and do not feel safe anymore, but psychological help has been given to them,” said Dikatana.

The suspects ran away with money, till point, a CCTV screen and cell phones.

No arrests have been made thus far.
