Husband in court after brutal stabbing
It is alleged that Ms Jessica Modise was stabbed by her husband.
Family members gathered outside Witbank Magistrate’s Court yesterday where Mr Tumi Modise appeared for the alleged murder of his wife, Ms Jessica Modise.
He appeared on Thursday, January 6 and the case was postponed to today (January 7) for a formal bail application because his attorney was not available.
Modise was arrested on the murder scene on December 24 after his wife was brutally stabbed to death at a garage.
Ms Modise was a well-known nurse at Highveld Hospital.
A colleague, who wishes to remain anonymous, said Ms Modise was a person never caught without a smile.
“Jessica was always so friendly and loved by everyone because of her God-fearing and humble nature. She was a true inspiration,” the colleague said.
