Farm attack at Klipfontein Farm around Phola in Ogies

The suspects tied the husband up and took his wife to the bedroom and force her to open up the safe as they were looking for money

Family attacked on their farm early in the morning, no arrests have been made.

On Saturday, November 27 at about 09:45, the complainant Mr Niel Bierman alleged that he was at his place at Klipfontein Farm around Phola in Ogies with his wife and children.

Surprisingly an unknown woman came and asked for accommodation.

While busy talking to her, she entered the house, sat on the chair uninvited and after a short while two unknown men came in as well and alleged to be accompanying the woman.

Within a short period of time five other men came into the house carrying firearms and threatened to shoot him and his family unless he gives them money.

In the process, they tied Bierman up with a rope and took his wife to the bedroom and forced her to open the safe to look for the money, but they couldn’t find it; instead they found the 7.65mm Astra Browning pistol with serial no. 1111073 with an empty magazine. As they were busy searching around the house, they found a Browning A-Bolt 30-60 Rifle with serial no. 03800Z x 351 and a Pellet gun.
