Businesses robbed of an undisclosed amount of money

Two cases of business robbery have been opened at Witbank Police Station and the police are busy investigating these cases.

Two businesses in eMalahleni were recently robbed of an undisclosed amount of money and lost of property.

The first incident occurred on Friday, October 8 in daylight, in Hyde Street.

The complainant alleged that he went to the bathroom inside the warehouse when an unknown man walked in armed with a firearm and instructed him to hand over the money.

The suspect pulled the complainant by his trousers pushing him to the office where the money was kept.

Fearing for his life, the complainant showed the suspect where the money was.

The suspect gathered the money and also took a cell phone.

The victim was locked up in a room and the suspect left the scene.

The second incident occurred on Wednesday, October 6 at approximately 10:10 in Tasbet Park.

The complainant alleged that two unknown men entered the business and came to the counter.

Standing at the counter, the cashier was about to assist them when they pulled out their firearms, shouting at her to run.

She ran to the back of the business; the suspects soon followed her.

In the back of the business, the suspects hit her with the firearm on her head and made her sit on the floor.

The suspects then took about 20 Sassa cards and an undisclosed amount of money.
