Transnet cares for GBV victims in eMalahleni

Women were given food packages.

The Emalahleni Local Municipality transversal services along with Transnet Freight Rail, Witbank made a generous donation to women of eMalahleni.

The donation was handed over on August 24.

Recipients with their food packages.

Women who were victims of Gender Based Violence, those looking after children and those with no income were called to be given packages.

This initiative was also a part of Transnet’s Mandela drive and they have been donating to other groups in a different community.

“We want to ensure that the people of eMalahleni have something on the table and the turnout was very good. We make sure that we give to those who are in need as a part of taking care of our community,” said Avhatakali Mudalahote, representative of Transnet Freight Rail.
