Minor arrested after brutal murder
A 13-year-old allegedly assaulted a relative and murdered another
A minor is expected in court after allegedly brutally murdering his grandmother.
The 13-year-old is also facing a charge of attempted murder for allegedly assaulting his aunt with an axe.
He was arrested on the scene and will appear in Witbank Magistrate Court on Wednesday, September 8.
This murder sent shockwaves through the farming community on the outskirts of eMalahleni.
According to police spokesperson, Capt Eddie Hall, the motive for the killing and assault was money.
