Motivation keeps on going for the youth at Nkangala TVET Colleges

Keep Going Community Development paid for student fees and employed lecturers to assist them on weekends.

Keep Going Community Development was created as a response to the social challenges faced by the youth of eMalahleni, with the understanding that every individual has the potential to be a productive member of the society, which can be harnessed through inspiration.

On August 20 the motivation kept flowing in when an official bursary handover event took place at Mpondozankomo College.

“Over the past five weeks we had an opportunity to work with one of our partners to take bursaries to 30 Nkangala TVET culled students who could not get financial assistance from NASFAS because they were repeaters or have failed some modules,” said Moeketsi Mazibuku, the founder of Keep Going Community Development.

Not only does this organisation motivate the youth of today but provides means for the youth to receive motivation, encouragement, and skills that are imperative to their academic success and personal development like; study skills and personal lifestyle choices.

“Not only did we pay the tuition fees for these students, but we also employed lecturers to assist them on weekends, from Friday through to Sunday for five weeks,” Mazibuku added.

The event was attended by various stakeholders, including the student support team from the college.

“We are now waiting for the examination results of these learners in high anticipation that they will do well and thus take a firm hold of their future,” he concluded.
