Suspects wanted for armed robbery at Ferrobank

According to information, a silver Grey VW vehicle with an unknown registration number came and parked in front of the filling station shop.

Witbank Police are searching for suspects who committed an armed robbery.

The robbery took place at a filling station at Schönland Street, Ferrobank on Friday, August 20.

According to information, a silver Grey VW vehicle with an unknown registration number came and parked in front of the filling station shop.

Two unknown males alighted from the vehicle and went into the shop wearing masks and asked for cigarettes.

The complainant told them that they don’t have the type of cigarettes the men requested.

They then went back to their car and after a few seconds, the same men went back to the shop and straight to the door.

One of them, armed with a firearm allegedly, kicked the door, and they all entered the shop.

The employees ran for their lives, hid in the kitchen and after noticing that the suspects were gone, they came out only to discover that the suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash, cigarettes and personal belongings.

No one has been arrested in this matter, therefore police request anyone with information regarding the suspects to contact Detective Colonel One Thobejane at 082 372 2195.
