Trip to buy takeaways ends in a nightmare

The two men sustained minor injuries.

The two men that were involved in an accident earlier this week is doing well.

Messrs Job Nkosi and John Maluleke both sustained minor injuries in an accident on the corner of OR Tambo- and Gordon Road on Wednesday, July 14.

An eyewitness on the scene said Maluleke allegedly lost control of his Toyota Tazz when he turned left into OR Tambo Road from Gordon Road.

“I was at the garage and just saw the Tazz fly over the middleman into oncoming traffic. The driver of the Peugeot had no time to stop as the Tazz landed right in front of him,” the man who asked to stay anonymous said.

Nkosi’s friend Mr Patrick Makola told WITBANK NEWS that his friend was on his way home after buying takeaways when the accident happened.

“Job went to Chicken Licken to buy food because the power at Clearwater Estate was out. This trip did not end so well for him,” Makola said.

He said Nkosi is doing well, and he will keep an eye on his friend.
