Taxi associations take a stand against looting in eMalahleni

Members of taxi associations along with Vosman Police Station, Legacy Emergency Specialists and tow truck drivers gathered at KG Mall in KwaGuqa to take a stand against looting.

The initiative started in Tasbet Park, and then moved to KwaGuqa where they went to KG Mall and the new Pick n Pay centre.
Mr Benzi Mtsweni, spokesperson for United Long Distance Taxi Association (ULDTA) said that the local taxi associations aim to work with the police to fight against anyone who plans to disrupt the peace in eMalahleni.
“Even though we are on level 4 lockdown and we may not have a lot of jobs, we will protect our community,” Mtsweni added.
