#Traffic scandal, officers not employed

This follows the shocking news that nepotism played a huge role in a learnership programme for traffic officers

Not one of the traffic officers implicated in the traffic scandal is employed at Emalahleni Local Municipality.

The Executive Mayor of Emalahleni, Cllr Linah Malatjie said that until the probe into the traffic scandal is concluded no one will be employed.

She gave the assurance that the probe into the traffic scandal will be conducted by Friday, January 25.

This follows the shocking news that nepotism played a huge role in a learnership programme for traffic officers.

It came to light that four members of the mayoral committee, one official who is currently employed in the mayor’s office and a member of the executive council have allegedly been instrumental in placing their family members on a list to complete the traffic officer’s course.
