Six arrested for drugs

The suspect was asked to be searched and suspected drugs were found on him

Six suspects were arrested who were found in possession of drugs in four days.

On Monday, January 6, three were arrested within the Central Business District (CBD).

One suspect was found at the bus rank at around 11:15 where he was found with small plastics of suspected drugs.

Another suspect was found in Allenby Street at about 11:45 when a police officer was patrolling in the street.

The suspect was asked to be searched and suspected drugs were found on him.

The other suspect was arrested for dagga dealing in Montgomery Street, at about 11:30, with 16 pokes of dagga found in his possession.

On Tuesday, January 7, at about 09:00, a suspect was arrested for possession of R10 000 amount of suspected drugs in Churchill Avenue.

A woman was found with drugs in her possession at a house in Leipoldt Street on Wednesday, January 8, at about 23:00.

The police received information about suspected drugs at a certain address in the street.

Upon their arrival, they found the woman with suspected drugs in her hands and she was arrested.

The last arrest was made in Old Coronation on Thursday, January 9, at 14:00.

The suspect was found dealing with dagga and selling liquor without a license.

The police were patrolling around the area when they spotted a group of people sitting inside a yard.

They stopped and asked to search the people and inside the house with permission from the owner.

They found dagga and liquor inside the house.

The suspect admitted that he was selling dagga and liquor.

He was arrested immediately.

All the cases were opened at Witbank Police Station.
