Family, friends and teachers of Darren gathered in unity to pray for him

“My boy will smile again, he will dance just like before,” said Ms Deniel Rabie, Darren’s mom during the prayer hour that was held for Darren.

On Thursday, November 14 a prayer hour was held at HTS.

Family, friends and teachers of Darren gathered in unity to pray for him.

Everyone held a burning candle symbolizing life.

Ms Heleen Walker led the group of people in prayer and friends and family were welcome to say something about Darren or to say a prayer.

It was an emotional evening and the tears were rolling.

Walker encouraged everyone to speak life over Darren.

“The power of life and death lies in the tongue,” she explained.

Darren is still in ICU.

“The doctors will try to wake him up today, November 15 at 11:00,” Rabie explained.

The alleged suspect accused of beating Darren over the head with a motorbike shock on Friday, November 8 will appear in the Witbank Magistrate Court today for a bail application.
