In the early hours of the morning of April 16, thieves managed to tear open the doors of a locked garage, stealing a GSXR1000 K8.
“We woke up that morning readying for work, only to find they had torn the garage door open to get to the bike,” said Ms Yolandi Bezuidenhout.
According to Bezuidenhout, her husband’s motorcycle was locked away in the garage the previous night and the thieves had somehow managed to pull the door open.
The motorcycle has gold strips running along the inner rim of each tyre, and is black with a golden horse head vinyl. The motorcycle is valued at about R70 000.
“I know of three other friends who have had their bikes stolen, two of which were 1000cc bikes,” ended Bezuidenhout. In just two weeks thieves have managed to steal a Kawasaki, Honda and now a Suzuki 1000cc.
