Tsogo Sun The Ridge invests in the future

The Dealer Training School is one of The Ridge’s internal programmes and is conducted through the Tsogo Sun Academy

Selected higher education graduates and interns within eMalahleni and the surrounding areas can look forward to a building a brighter future when they join Tsogo Sun’s The Ridge Casino through its Gaming Operations Learnership.

Every year, The Ridge, in partnership with Nkangala Further Education and Training (FET) College (eMalahleni Campus), places young people in learnerships, work integrated learning (WIL) and a Dealer School programme.

The initiative, which commenced on January 1, gives learners who have completed an N6 course in Human Resources, Business Management, Finance, Electrical Studies, Marketing and other relevant courses the opportunity to undergo experiential learning for a period of 18 months and obtaining a national diploma.

The Dealer Training School is one of The Ridge’s internal programmes and is conducted through the Tsogo Sun Academy.

Learners attend the school for eight weeks and qualifying candidates are absorbed into the business afterwards.

“We are proud to announce that we absorbed two of our unemployed learners into the business on a permanent basis as of March 15. This is a great programme as it offers higher education students an opportunity to join our workforce and contribute to the business in a meaningful way,” said Marina Coetzee, The Ridge Casino’s marketing manager.
