Beautiful Scars Foundation launched

Ms Ndimande stated that we all have different purposes in life and we all have a role to play

Ms Sinenhlanhla Ndimande thanked all the people and organisations who had supported her during the launch of the Beautiful Scars Foundation.

In partnership with Mr Kenneth Nkabinde, both had kidney failures in their lives but were fortunate to receive donors, extended their thanks and related their stories of going through renal failure.

Ms Ndimande stated that we all have different purposes in life and we all have a role to play.

She said it was very difficult to start the foundation but in the end she was grateful because a lot of people will be helped through the foundation.

Ms Sinenhlanhla Ndimande, founder of the Beautiful Scars Foundation addressing during the launch held on Saturday, March 23.

“We have started the foundation to help all those who cannot help themselves. It is so costly to go through dialysis and one has to change a lifestyle. I am prepared to assist where I can. I thanked my parents, family but especially my sister, friends and all the sponsors who had opened their hands for us to start the foundation.”

Mrs Petunia Mashiane explained how her friendship with Sinenhlanhla blossomed over the years irrespective of her sickness and was happy for her after she received a kidney.

She said Sinenhlanhla was a very strong person and urged people to support her.

A doctor explained about kidney failure and how people can be helped.

A moment of silence was observed for all the people who had died because of kidney failure.

Other people also related their stories.

Mr Bule Ranape promised that he will sponsor the foundation with R100 000 and they must just look for a place to build a centre.

Mr Fortune Mlotshwa also came on board and will also sponsor the foundation.

The United Long Distance Taxi Service also contributed in sponsorship.

Candles which symbolises hope were lighted during the event.

The foundation has already been registered.

“Save a life, donate an organ, it’s the best gift of life” reads the foundation slogan.
