They searched him and took what he had before leaving him in shock at the scene.
Mr Ahmed Rashid was on duty at ABZ Industrial Projects when he saw four unknown men coming towards him.
Two of the suspects were armed with firearms.
“They asked me for money and I old them I do not have any. One of the men told the others to search me and see what was in my pockets,” said Rashid.
They apparently found a Blackberry cell phone as well as his two-way communication radio.
“I was not harmed. They ran away after taking my phone and the radio. I was able to alert the other guards about what happened,” said Rashid.
The value of the stolen items amounted to R3 500. The business itself was not robbed and the suspects fired no shots, no one was injured.
