First boxing tournament for 2019
The tournament will take place at the JH Buthelezi Boxing Gymnasium
ABC Boxing Club under the leadership of Paul ‘Sika’ Tshehla has organised a first boxing tournament for 2019.
The tournament will take place at the JH Buthelezi Boxing Gymnasium, the home of team ABC Boxing Camp on Saturday, January 26.
The tournament will start at 13:00.
The weigh-in ceremony will start at 07:00 till 09:00.
According to Tshehla clubs that have confirmed their participation are: Steel-man Boxing Club from Mapetla in Soweto, Doorinkop Boxing Club and Home Styles Boxing Academy both from the Steve Tshwete Local Municipality and Rakwena Boxing Club from Phola.
The event is hosted by ABC Boxing Camp in partnership with eMalahleni Local Municipality.
*South African National Boxing Organisation (SANABO) is the organisation that governs amateur boxing (or Olympic style boxing) for men and women in South Africa.
South African National Boxing Organisation is affiliated to the International Boxing Association (IBA), along with the African Boxing Confederation (AFBC).
SANABO is also affiliated to the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC) and Sport and Recreation South Africa (SRSA).
It organises national competitions such as the SANABO Elite National Championships and the SANABO Boxing League.
