Business robberies sky rocket

The festive season is approaching and it would seem that businesses are the main target, yet again.

Four businesses were the targets the past week and on November 16 the robberies started.

Around 08:00 the victim reported on duty and around 12:30 she came across an unknown man in the yard.

He approached her, pulled out his firearm and instructed her to not say a word.

She told police that the suspect came with a Ford Ranger bakkie, took the television sets and left. On November 17 the victim was busy packing cell phones at his work place when a man entered the shop and went towards the section with the wrist watches.

Another man entered the shop, pulled out a firearm and then a third suspect entered who also had a firearm.

The victim said that the employees were locked in a bathroom, while cash was stolen from the shop.

In another case, the victim told police that he was busy with his daily duties when a man just entered the shop, pulled out his firearm and instructed the employees to wait in the fitting room.

A laptop, cash and cell phones were stolen.

On November 18 around 09:30 another business was robbed. The victim told police that he was busy unpacking the shoes when a man entered the shop, pulled out a firearm and took the suspects cell phone.

A laptop and cash was also stolen during the incident.

No comments could be obtained from the victims, and all cases are still under investigation.
