Water has been flowing down Tambotie Street like a river. This has been going on since September 25 this year.
“We have reported this issue numerous times since it has started and nothing is being done about it,” said a frustrated resident, Cheryl Luff.
“It is clean water, it’s sad to see that drinking water is going to waste like this.”

It appears that the water is surfacing from a leak in the road.
Residents in this street allege that they have reported this problem at least once a weak since September but received no feedback from the Emalahleni Local Municipality.

On Tuesday, November 6 WITBANK NEWS contacted the local municipality to get some clarity as to why no one has responded to the resident’s requests and complaints.
Mr Kingdom Mabuza, Emalahleni Local Municipality spokesperson said that he will report this matter to the water team and will give an update afterwards.
