After the KG Mall KFC was robbed, police managed to arrest a suspect.

After the KG Mall KFC was robbed, police managed to arrest a suspect.

The 25 year-old cashier reported to the police that while she was busy helping customers she was confronted by an armed suspect who entered the shop and thereafter pointed a gun at a customer, took R2 400 from him as well as taking R1 800 from the till and instructing all customers to lay down and not to look at him.

The suspect left the scene with two other suspects who were standing at the entrance and were also armed.

After the incident police followed some leads which led to an arrest.

The robbery happened on Thursday, January 18 at about 19:45.
One suspect was arrested on Wednesday, January 24; one of the clients at the shop knew the robber.

The suspect appeared in court on Wednesday, January 24 at the Witbank Magistrate Court. The case was postponed to Tuesday, January 30.
