The Emalahleni Local Municipality has started with a process of verification of people who are on the housing demand list commonly known as housing waiting list.
People who previously registered for government issued houses (RDP houses) are urged to come to the Municipal Training Centre to verify their status.
Human Settlement has prioritised elderly people, disabled, orphans and women as beneficiaries.
People who qualify but are not on the database they also invited to come and register with their identification cards (ID) and proof of resident (where applicable).
The verification process and registration started on Wednesday and will be conducted for the next two weeks, from 08:30 to 15:00 at the Municipal Training Centre.
