VAALPARK. – If anyone predicted five weeks ago that Heron Banks Golf Club would be ready to host the Sunshine Tour Qualifying School their sanity would have been taken into question.
The club’s back nine was almost completely under water after heavy rains flooded the banks of the Vaal River.
After weeks of blood, sweat and tears Rob Lance and his ground staff smiled today when hopefuls of the Sunshine Tour’s Qaulifying school teed off.
Heron Banks will play host from 18-21 April to some of the finest golfers in the country and abroad.
