KLIPRIVIER. – The local police together with security companies arrested six men suspected to have been involved in a business robbery in Meyerton.
According to police spokesperson Sergeant Tintswalo Ndhambi, it is alleged that on Wednesday 18 September at about 12:00 a Toyota Corolla with six occupants onboard crashed into a truck at a high speed while security guards were chasing them.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the occupants had robbed a bottle store in Meyerton.
The arrested suspects were found in possession of firearms.
The district commissioner applauded the members.
Community members are advised to stay away from crime.
