New fleet for ELM

In a grand ceremony attended by municipal officials and Metsi a Lekoa staff, the Executive Mayor, Radebe expressed the municipality's dedication to bringing dignity and a better life to the residents of the Vaal.

VANDERBIJLPARK – Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) reaffirmed its commitment to delivering quality services to the public by launching a brand-new fleet of vehicles and heavy-duty machinery.

The 39 vehicles unveiled on Thursday, October 19, at the municipal headquarters in Vanderbijlpark was a donation made by Rand Water through the Section 63 Water and Sanitation intervention.

This milestone, achieved in collaboration with the Executive Mayor, MMC Ezrol Nzima of infrastructure Planning and Development, the Chief Whip Silver Jantjie, the Municipal Manager April Ntuli, and dedicated staff, marks a turning point in the municipality’s ongoing efforts to improve the lives of the Vaal community.

“Our decision to prioritise investments in acquiring these tools of the trade is a demonstration of our unwavering commitment to improving the quality of life of the community of the Vaal,” he said.

Radebe said the fleet launch is not merely symbolic but a practical step toward fulfilling this commitment.

The generous donation from Rand Water includes a range of vehicles and heavyduty machinery designed to enhance the municipality’s ability to provide efficient and effective services to the people of Vaal.

Speaking to Ster South on the sidelines of the launch Radebe said: “We were showing our community that we are ready to work and this was also an indication of commitment to work for our communities.

Our people’s hopes deserve to be revived and they should know that we are ready to work for them.”
