Events management and public speaking is her forté

Lerato Mocoancoeng can boast many skills such as leadership, project and event management, and in addition, sales and marketing. She is very interested in effective communication and is a communicator in the full sense of the word. She is fluent in English, Afrikaans, South Sotho, Setswana and Zulu, and can speak basic Xhosa. Lerato describes herself as a critical thinker and a team player.
Her Vereeniging based company, called Lerato M Group, is made up of Lerato M Events and Lerato M Media. Her core business is corporate events management – business breakfasts, office and business launches, and educational events such as career and business expos.
“My goal is to close the skills development gap in the Sedibeng region and to give young people exposure to careers and opportunities. I also aim to create business and networking opportunities for entrepreneurs,” says Lerato.
She is a professional MC and Programs Director as well as a public speaker by profession. “I get invited to speak at women’s empowerment events that seek to promote self-sufficiency and healing thus enabling them to live life to the fullest.”
She currently hosts the program Business Connections at VUT FM 96.9, which is on air every Thursday evening from 19:00 to 21:00. In her free time Lerato enjoys going to church, cooking and going on outdoor adventure activities.
