SASOLBURG. – The Sasol Solar Challenge made a visit to the DP de Villiers stadium in Sasolburg yesterday on the first day of the challenge that kicked off in Boksburg and finished in Kroonstad.
Brunel Solar team of the Netherlands finished in first place after clocking up 569.8 km. Agoria Solar team of Belgium finished second with
470.2 km.
The first South African team was TUT with 420.4 km for the day. Naledi 2.0 the North-West University’s solar car racked up 370.6km. The challenge ends next week Friday at the V & A Waterfront in Cape Town.
