Sebokeng Hospital launches ‘I care for you’ values

Sebokeng Hospital recently launched the ‘I care for you’ values across all departments at the hospital.

SEBOKENG. – The launch is aimed at improving the quality of service and patient experience at the hospital.

Matron Regina Molope who is the Assistant Director in ICU and High-care at the hospital, said that although the values were initially for nurses, they saw it as important to extend the launch to every single individual working at they hospital as they were all there to serve the patient.

“Under the umbrella ‘I care for you’, we have values like integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, equity and excellence ,patient care, education, management and research.”

Molope said that all these values would be adopted by everyone not only for the benefit of patients, but for the unified representation of the hospital.

“As Sebokeng Hospital we are saying that we have had it with complaints regarding the ill-treatment of patients. This is a time to take the hospital to grater heights.”

Molope said that their objective is to do away with the negative stigma that exists in society about government institutions. “We want patients to know that they are deserving of good service and they will get it from our hospital. They do not have to go to private institutions to get good service.”

Molope said that they were also investing in employee wellness to ensure that employees were in a good state to deal with patients. “From entering the hospital gate where you pass the security, to admin and even the cleaning lady, we are saying stop and fix, no more saying it is not your problem.”

Molope said that they would have more ‘I care for you’ sessions for employees to remain positive and united to serving the community.
