Come take a Break at Three Rivers Lodge’s brand new addition!
A whole new taste experience awaits food lovers at Three Rivers Lodge’s brand new “Take a Break” Coffee shop and Bakery! July 15 will see the opening of this unique addition to the spectacular services already provided on the Lodge’s well-known premises at 46 Golf Street, Three Rivers.
Take a Break consists of a “sitting down” area to enjoy your superb coffee and delectable eats on the spot, and a convenient “drive through” section for those on the run. The coffee shop will be open from Mondays to Saturdays from 06:00 for the early risers, and closes at 16:00.
“We would like our residents who have to drive to Johannesburg or other areas early for work, to be spoilt with top quality coffee. They can also get their lunch, sandwiches or fresh pastries for the road here. Moms can also take an early morning break and turn in at the Drive-Thru after dropping off their kids,” says Roelien Jansen van Rensburg, General Manager of Three Rivers Lodge. The Drive Thru is just next to Anna’s Kitchen and uses the same entrance in Golf Street.
“We started last year with a small bakery in Anna’s Kitchen, called Anna’s Bakery. At first we did the baking ourselves but later realized there was such a huge demand for artisan breads and fresh pastries that we needed to expand. We were then introduced to the awesome Bread Republic and their business became part of Take a Break’s aim to provide the tastiest AND healthiest products in town. The result is delicious; you really won’t find our class of pastries anywhere else in the Vaal,” Roelien confidently adds.

Take one look at Take a Break’s menu and you’ll know you’ll be hooked!Fresh from the Bread Republic there are delicacies such as Croissants filled with ham, cheese, lettuce and tomato or Chicken mayo, Chocolate filled croissants, Chocolate Palier, ‘Croeksisters’, Sourdough Baguettes, Ciabatta and Rye, all well-priced at between R12 and R50!Or what about bagels with a choice of a variety of cheeses, or avocado, spinach, pickles and red onion at only R45 per bagel! And don’t forget about their toasted sandwiches and pizza of the day!Those with a sweet tooth can take their pick of a mini milk tart, jumbo scone, or a piece of the cake of the day.There are plenty of cold beverages to choose from, or if you prefer something hot, there are nine different types of coffee and 13 latte’s to choose from!
