The competition runs from 12 August until September 24 and the categories in which little ones can take part are: 3 to 12 months, 12 to 24 months, 2 to 3 years, 3 to 4 years and 4 to 6 years. Please note that the R70 entry fee does not include a printed photo, but will ensure that your child’s photo will appear in Vaalweekblad. Parents can, however, order a printable CD with photos at R150 extra.
How to take part:
Just dress your little ones up and bring them to President Hyper Vaal or the Toeka tot Nou Studio at the Sylviavale Heritage Museum on specific days and times for an exciting professional photo shoot.
Photos will be taken every Friday from 14:00 till 18:00, and every Sunday from 10:00 till 14:00 at President Hyper Vaal, and every Saturday from 10:00 till 14:00 at Chilli PicNic’s Toeka tot Nou Studio at the Sylviavale Heritage Museum in Vanderbijlpark.
Pay an entry fee of R70, fill out an entry form and presto! Your little boy or girl could be a winner! Then simply buy every week’s edition of Vaalweekblad in which the photos of participants will appear.
How to Vote:
Parents and family can start voting as soon as your child’s photo is published in Vaalweekblad. Write your favourite’s name and photo number on the cut-out voting form and post it in the competition box at President Hyper Vaal. You may fill in as many original voting forms as you like but copies won’t count.
And here’s another fun way to better your child’s chances: When spending R200 or more at President Hyper, you may use your till slip for an additional vote! Just write your child’s name and surname and your phone number on the till slip and post it in President Hyper’s competition box. Do this every time you buy for R200 or more at President Hyper. Fun prizes are on the cards for the winning child as well as for a lucky voter!
