Wana scored in Swallows’ 4-3 win over Mbombela United in last Saturday’s Nedbank Cup last-32 game and looked impressive.
The former Santos striker joined the Dube Birds last month and if his debut display is anything to go by, then Swallows’ attack will be a marvel to watch.
Siyabonga Nomvethe and Edward Manqele have been dependable marksmen for the Soweto club but Wana’s signing should ease the pressure on the pair.
This evening the Dube Birds travel to KwaZulu-Natal to face Maritzburg United at Harry Gwala Stadium for an Absa Premiership match.
United have been impressive since the arrival of Steve Komphela with a notably spirited performance coming against table-toppers Kaizer Chiefs two weeks ago.
The Team of Choice brought in Komphela as they are languishing in the relegation quagmire and are expecting the former Free State Stars coach to help them climb up the table.
Maritzburg are third from bottom with 17 points from 18 matches and just a point separates them from Stars who are second from the bottom.
But it will not be easy as the Dube Birds are also looking to improve their mid-table position by moving into the top eight.
Swallows are in eighth spot with 23 points.
Meanwhile, in another game tonight, Ajax Cape Town host Polokwane City at Athlone Stadium.
